Ankomst in Vermont

The team has arrived - tired but with our health and all our bags and equipment - in Middlebury, VT for the NCAA Championships. Travel from Alaska took about 19 hours of flying and driving, but we pulled into the driveway of our team house in relatively good shape. Today we drove the 20 minutes from our house to Middlebury's Breadloaf Campus in Ripton, VT to check out this week's race courses. The alpine skiers will race on Wednesday and Saturday; nordic events will take place Thursday and Saturday.  Here are a few images from the past 24 hours:

The coaches got out our notebooks and pencils and consulted with the athletes to make sure we know everything we need to know about all of their pairs of skis...

....for Marine, this means an Excel spreadsheet with all the pertinent data.
