Leapfrog

It's true that there have been hardly any any blog posts over this past summer. But that's all about to change because it's a new year. A fresh start. A clean slate. For the team and for this blog.

While my continuing recovery from a busted leg last winter will likely keep me from being able to do any running workouts with the team this fall, I was able to make it to practice yesterday, tagging along on my bike, and I was really excited to see everyone again and to meet some new Seawolves.

Yesterday's workout was one of those top-secret ones that we don't discuss much so as not to reveal our methods to the outside world's prying eyes. But though it might seem that yesterday's exercises and relays are somewhat dissimilar to cross-country skiing, it was remarkable how weaknesses in balance and coordination were revealed.

Note how Marcus is looking to get a competitive advantage by stepping on Lupua's head (there's no rule against that). And Hannah looks like she's in the middle of a motorcycle crash.

If you think the team coasted through this workout, think again.
