The Seawolves spent last week in Fairbanks. We were there for a set of four RMISA college races at Birch Hill. Some people say Fairbanks is cold. But that's an exaggeration. After all, 75 percent of the races were held without being cancelled due to cold.
Birch Hill and the Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks has always put on really great races. The trails are great, the stadium layout is great, and the organizers and volunteers are great. This past week's races were the first-ever RMISA races to be held in Fairbanks.
We drove to these RMISA races. That's a rare thing for this team. Usually we fly. |

The skiing at Birch Hill has always been good, but the big red ski chalet in the background made it even better when Uncle Ted allocated the money for it a few years back. |
