Anchorage life in the time of Coronavirus is no more exciting than any other damn place. But by using the old social media FOMO trick of posting pictures only the good stuff and leaving out all the boring stuff, we can make it seem more fun around here than it really is.

I board a plane about once a week to make a short trip somewhere for work. I don't take for granted how fortunate I am to get a regular change of scenery with a day spent in Kodiak or Cordova or whatever. The Anchorage airport, however, has been looking kind of lonely lately. |
